Adonis Gear “Vanilla Ice Cream” Protein Powder

A client told me about this new brand, Adonis Gear, so I thought I'd try a few of their products! When I ordered I got a few of their selections, but for this post, I'll just go through "The Vanilla Milkshake Protein Powder".

When trying a new protein power for the first time, whether or not it mixes well is always my biggest worry. Overall I was pleased with the way this one blended, but if you're sensitive to texture in these types of things then do be aware that there are small pieces of chocolate mixed in.

As for the nutrition, it's low in sugar despite being quite sweet, but it also has a slightly lower amount of protein (23g) per serving than other brands.

On the plus side, for those with sensitive stomachs and intolerances, it does have digestive enzymes including lactase. Despite containing the lactase enzyme, it should be noted that they market the product as "low lactose" and not "lactose-free" - although for my lactose-free tummy, it was absolutely fine!

It's also gluten-free, halal-certified and vegetarian.

The flavour is nice and sweet like many protein powders similar to these are, so if that's something that appeals to you then I can recommend this. Other than this flavour, I've been told the double chocolate protein shake is also very good. Some of the flavours are currently on special through their website.
