Mangoes Are In Season!

Summer is here! Therefore the mangoes are too.

Mangoes are high in vitamin C and taste the best when they are in season - which is now. They can be eaten as is, added to fruit salads or even make a tangy companion to savoury salads.

Due to their wet and colourful nature, they are not always a fussy eaters favourite food, however, they are fun for kids to cut up and dissect. A great game to play with your kids is to get them to help cut fruit up for the family, but do not tell them about the giant pip inside a mango. Under supervision, let them explore the mango, and set the game of trying to get the big pip out. There is never a requirement to eat the food, but more to let them enjoy learning about it.
